We all love Excel, it is a great tool and the numerous upgrades and add-ons over the years have made it the go-to tool for analysts seeking insights from data. 

However at some point its limitations mean we look for a code solution - for me this was VBA. For basic automation this was fine but its limited scope and fragility left me wanting more.

Enter Python, the swiss-army knife programming language that, along with R, is a standard in the Data Science field.

This is introductory training that is aimed at analysts that may already have some coding skills, but wish to develop Python knowledge and understand how it can be used in common scenarios.

The ability to query data for yourself from an Relational Database is an invaluable skill as an analyst. 

Despite add-ons, such as power-pivot, providing a lot more grunt to Excel, by interacting with the data at source you will be able to quickly iterate your queries to prepare your analyse dataset. An additional benefit is that you no longer be a slave to IT query turn-around times!

This is introductory SQL training focusing on the syntax and semantics of all parts of SQL queries - selecting, joining, filtering, aggregation and window functions.
